Macalloy Tension Bars used as Bracing in Glulam Structure of Robert Burns Museum; Ayr, UK



Macalloy Tension Rods / Tension Bars were used for the environment conscious building.

Macalloy tension rods are used in the Robert Burns Museum in Ayr, Scotland. The building is constructed using Douglas fir and European redwood and is designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible. The Macalloy tension bars are used throughout the building to provide bracing for the glulam structure.

Macalloy in Russia

Macalloy is proud to have been involved in 4 of the stadiums due to host FIFA Worldcup games in Russia. Pictured is Mordovia Arena in Saransk. Macalloy has provided galvanised M48 tension bars, turnbuckles and connection discs to help support the roof. The first match their will be held on 16th June.
