Macalloy Architectural Tension Rods were used extensively within the structure of Ethiad stadium.
Macalloy tie rods are used to suspend the roof of the Ethiad Stadium, the home of Manchester City. The roof is supported by a stayed structure which uses Macalloy tension rods to suspend the roof from steel pylons, which in turn are anchored back to the ground. The steel pylons are quite unique, protruding from the top of circular spectator walkways which take spectators to different levels of the stadium.
