Earlier this month, we brought together our staff, their families and even a few faces from the past in a special event to celebrate Macalloy’s centenary.
The event was held in the grounds of our premises in Dinnington, Sheffield where staff enjoyed a hog roast, drinks and special celebration cake.
To capture the essence of the company’s journey a commemorative newspaper was prepared for the staff as a piece of memorabilia. It contained the history of the company and profiled many staff members highlighting the value they bring to the company both past and present.
Located in the heart of the UK steel industry, the company’s roots have been traced back 100 years. Although Macalloy boasts a strong heritage, our team is always looking to the future developing new products and providing leading edge solutions to many structural applications
As part of the ongoing centenary celebrations, we also took the opportunity to update Macalloy’s branding and website, to ensure that our visual identity is in keeping with the forward-thinking, innovative nature of the company itself.
Managing Director Peter Hoy gave a speech at the event, commenting:
‘We continue to have an unwavering commitment to providing excellent customer service and high-quality products. I am proud of our teams’ enthusiasm and our ability to evolve and create new solutions and solve problems. I am very much looking forward to the next 100 years!!’
