Macalloy is proud to announce a major step forward in our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility: the installation of 656 solar panels on the roof of our UK manufacturing facility.
This new solar project is expected to generate up to 295 kWh of clean, renewable energy—significantly reducing our reliance on traditional power sources. More importantly, it will cut our carbon footprint by an estimated 400 tonnes per year, helping us contribute to a greener future for the construction and engineering industries.
“This investment reflects our long-term vision for sustainable manufacturing,” said Peter Hoy , Managing Director. “We’re not just building high-performance tension systems—we’re building a better future.”
The solar panel installation is part of a broader initiative to reduce energy consumption and improve operational efficiency across all areas of the business. It aligns with Macalloy’s ongoing efforts to support environmentally conscious design and construction, both in our products and our practices.
As a global supplier of architectural tension bars and engineering solutions, we understand the importance of leading by example. This milestone reinforces our commitment to innovation—not just in the products we deliver, but in how we operate as a responsible manufacturer.
