Pre-assembled tension rod system

The following components make up a preassembled tension rod system.

  • A solid end-threaded bar in diameters from M10 – M120
  • Adjustable Clevis Forks that connect to the end of the bars
  • Pin Sets to connect the adjustable clevis forks to steelwork
  • Lock Covers to cover bar threads, and lock against the forks and turnbuckles
  • Turnbuckles with lock covers, which enable tensioning, extra adjustment and allows for bars to be connected for longer assemblies
  • European Technical Assessment ETA-21/0053

The carbon steel system can include options for corrosion protection e.g. galvanised, paint, powder-coating.

The stainless steel systems can include for various polished surface finishes e.g Bright Polished Finish to Satin Polished Finish.

Roof truss applications

Cross bracing applications

For requirements where rods may be used in roof truss applications, components such as 3-hole bracing discs, and hanger-turnbuckles are available.

When cross-bracing tension rods are situated in plane, components such as, cross-couplers and bracing discs are available.

Adjustable Compression Struts

  • Uses the standard cast fork and pin connection
  • Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel options
  • Standard CHS sizes from 1.33” (33.7mm) to 12.75” (323.9mm) tube
    diameter
  • Custom sizes available upon request
  • Tension capacity matching grade 550 bar of the same thread size
  • Ideal for double loading applications
  • European Technical Assessment ETA-21/0053

SC460 Adjustable Architectural Cable Systems

  • Range of cable diameters – 3mm to 28 mm
  • Uses the standard cast fork and pin connection
  • Systems available offer equal adjustment at either end, or single adjustment at one end
  • Rotation of the threaded stud or tensioner turnbuckle lengthens or shortens the cable (depending on the system chosen)

Stainless Cables

  • Range of diameters – 3mm to 28mm diameter
  • Swaged connectors to standard Macalloy metric forks
  • Standard Arrangement – adjustment within fork
  • Swaged Tensioner – greater adjustment within tensioner
