Macalloy Post Tensioning Bar Anchors Steel Arches at Estadio da Luz; Lisbon, Portugal



Macalloy 1030 Post Tensioning Bar was used to anchor either end of the steel arches at the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon. The stadium is home to Sport Lisboa e Benfica and was used to host the final of the Euro 2004 tournament.

The Macalloy PT bar connected to steel flanges on the steel arch and the main concrete structure.

Capacity of the stadium is 65,400.

Macalloy is proud to have been involved in 4 of the stadiums due to host FIFA Worldcup games in Russia. Pictured is Mordovia Arena in Saransk. Macalloy has provided galvanised M48 tension bars, turnbuckles and connection discs to help support the roof. The first match their will be held on 16th June.
