Products used: Macalloy Tension Bars/Tie Rods
Background : This Steel arched bridge in Poland over the Vistula river spans 212m. The 21.76 m wide deck is hung from the arches with 112 steel rods The installation and tensioning of the tie rods were carried out by Macalloy’s Polish partner BBR Polska.
Macalloy involvement :Macalloy tension bars were used to suspend the bridge deck from the steel arch . The bars were used in a twin bar arrangement either side of the steel arch.
