Background: : This landmark 12 meter bridge is a pivotal road link between Bolton Road to Barbara Castle, spanning 79 meters in a single steel bowstring arch design.

Painted in blue and white to celebrate the towns football team, Blackburn Rovers.

Macalloy involvement: Macalloy 460 M85 tie rods are suspended from the steel arch and support the bridge deck.

Macalloy site services team provided supervision and training on-site for the correct installation and tensioning of the hangers using the Macalloy TechnoTensioner device.
