Products in use : Macalloy 1030 bars in 75mm and 40mm
Background : This viaduct is part of a high speed rail line connecting Mardrid and Lisbon built over the Almonte river and Alcantara Reservoir.
It has a 384-metre main span, but it’s total length is 998m makes it the largest high-speed railway arched bridge in the world.
Macalloy involvement : Products used as part of the anchorage system to anchor/tension the stay cables which provide provisional support to the arch.
